Biography
Since an early age, Font has been involved in music bands and developed an interest in film music. He received training in piano, guitar, composition, and orchestration, and became a professional in film scoring in 2005. In 2009, he left the financial sector to devote himself solely to film scoring.
Xavi Font merged his management and creative skills as one of the main producers of ‘Fire Will Come’ (Oliver Laxe, 2019). As a producer, he also participated in ‘Ons’ (Alfonso Zarauza, 2020) and ‘Where Memory Ends’ (Pablo Romero Fresco, 2022).
As a composer, he is known for his work in ‘Rapa’ (2022-2023 Movistar+), ‘Hierro’ (2019-2021 Arte/Movistar+), ‘Gun City’ (Vaca Films 2018), and many others, including ‘The Apostle’ (2012), where he collaborated with Philip Glass.
Xavi Font is a member of the European Film Academy, the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, and the Academia Galega do Audiovisual, where he is also a member of the Board of Directors.
